Slow Glance

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Slow Glance, also shown as "慢刷" in Chinese, handles information when you use the app. The app is intended to offer a gentle transition away from high-stimulation scrolling before sleep. It is not a medical device and does not collect health data.

Our privacy approach is simple: keep the experience on your device whenever possible, avoid collecting information that directly identifies you, and use network access only for content delivery, app configuration, analytics, diagnostics, and App Store purchases.

Data We May Collect

Slow Glance may collect limited app usage and diagnostic information to help us improve the experience, fix issues, and understand whether sessions are ending as intended. This may include:

• App interaction events, such as starting or ending a session, selecting a duration, opening a story, changing a setting, viewing a Pro screen, or restoring a purchase.
• General usage measurements, such as session length, screen flow, feature use, and app launch events.
• Diagnostic information, such as crash reports, performance measurements, app version, operating system version, device model, language, and rough region inferred from system or network settings.
• Purchase-related events, such as whether a Pro purchase, restore, or entitlement check succeeded. Payment details are handled by Apple and are not provided to us.

We use this information to maintain the app, improve content pacing, diagnose errors, measure feature reliability, and make product decisions. We do not use it for third-party advertising.

Data We Do Not Collect

Slow Glance does not ask for:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials.
• Location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, or health information.
• Messages, social relationships, search history, or browsing history.
• Advertising identifiers or data used to track you across other apps or websites.

We do not sell personal information, share personal information with data brokers, or build advertising profiles.

Information Stored On Your Device

Slow Glance stores a small amount of app information locally on your device so the app can remember your choices and work smoothly. This may include:

• Whether you have completed onboarding.
• Your selected session length, font size, background brightness, haptic setting, story interaction mode, and ambient companion choice.
• Local usage timing for the current night, used to provide gentle session limits and reminders.
• Your local Pro unlock state, based on App Store purchase entitlement checks.
• Downloaded story, audio, video, and configuration files cached on your device.

This local information is not sent to us by the app. You can clear app settings from within Slow Glance where available, or delete the app from your device to remove its local data.

Content Delivery And Network Requests

Slow Glance may connect to our content delivery network to check for updated configuration files and to download quiet stories, images, audio, video, and other app content.

When any app or browser requests files from a server or content delivery network, basic technical request data may be processed by that infrastructure. This can include IP address, request time, requested file URL, device or browser user agent, and diagnostic logs. We use this kind of technical data only to deliver content, maintain reliability, protect the service, understand aggregate usage, and troubleshoot errors.

We do not use CDN request logs to identify individual users or to track behavior across other apps or websites.

Purchases

Slow Glance Pro purchases are handled through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes payment information and manages purchase records under Apple's own privacy practices. Slow Glance receives only the information needed to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked, such as the relevant product entitlement.

We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Third Parties

Slow Glance does not include advertising SDKs. The services involved in normal operation may include:

• Apple services, including the App Store and StoreKit, for purchases and purchase restoration.
• Our hosting and content delivery providers, for delivering configuration files and media assets.
• Analytics and diagnostics service providers, for measuring app usage, reliability, performance, and crashes.

Retention

Local app settings and cached content remain on your device until you clear them, delete the app, or the operating system removes cached files. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies. Analytics, diagnostics, and technical CDN logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for product improvement, security, diagnostics, and service operation.

Your Choices

You can control your information in the following ways:

• Use the app without creating an account.
• Adjust or reset local app settings in Slow Glance.
• Delete the app to remove its local data from your device.
• Manage App Store purchases and refunds through Apple.
• Contact us with privacy questions or requests.

Children's Privacy

Slow Glance is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of Slow Glance begins collecting additional personal information, showing ads, tracking users across apps or websites, or adding account features, this policy will be updated before or when those changes are released.
